Funeral services for Brenda Kay Young, age 54, of Sulphur Springs will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, February 28, 2010 at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with President Jeff Sant officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Saturday, February 27, 2010 at West Oaks Funeral Home. Interment will follow in East Caney Cemetery with Karl Garst, Blake Hibdon, Kyle Garst, Jerry Geiger, Gary Geiger, Stephen Young, Richard Mitchell and Chris Dodson serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Keith Dodson and Butch Dodson. Mrs. Young passed away Thursday, February 25, 2010 at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Young was born on May 2, 1955 in Garland, TX, the daughter of Marshal Yates and Glenda Fay (Dodson) Roe. She married Jerry Young on November 5, 1994 in Greenville, TX. He survives. Mrs. Young was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Other survivors include her children, Marcus Young of Sulphur Springs, Rachel Garst of Sulphur Springs, Michelle Jones Hall of Sulphur Springs, Steven Young and wife Natasha of Tyler, Chris Young and Jonathan Young of Sulphur Springs, Sylvannia Young of Tyler, brothers, Gary Geiger and Jerry Geiger both of Campbell, sisters, Kate Renshaw and Joyce Geiger both of Campbell, 14 grandchildren.
